I don’t know if I have ever told you guys this, but I met my husband online on one of those free dating sites. The first time we met up in person was at Neo Burrito in Biltmore Park. Neo Burrito had been Raf’s vegetarian go-to spot for years. He literally ate there 4-5 times a week before I started cooking for him. This dude has a lifetime discount card, and he rarely even has to verbalize his order. Neo Burrito has three locations around the city, but I have only ever been to one location. Biltmore Park is close to our house, Raf’s job, and the YMCA. Luckily for Doriyan and I, Neo Burrito is a fun place. We have come to love it as much as Raf does. The atmosphere is high energy and it is clean. The contemporary music juxtaposed against what I believe to be animal planet playing on the screen is extremely engaging. They also broadcast what appears to be live footage of their baby chickens from time to time. The food is good. I mean, it tastes good, but the ingredients themselves are good for you too. Neo Burrito only offers ingredients that are locally grown and/or organic. Another plus is the food is still very reasonably priced. They offer both tempeh and tofu as meat substitutions for just about any dish on the menu. Everything is made fresh at the time of your order, but it is done quickly and effectively. Neo Burrito is a great place to take your entire family for “Meatless Monday”. They also have great beverage options. Aside from fountain drinks, they have juices, teas, beers and other fun choices. Whenever we go, I get either tacos or a salad bowl with chips. If you decided to have tacos on Meatless Monday, they are only $2.00 at select locations. Raf and Doriyan both favor quesadillas. Since the ingredients are local and organic, they both will add cheese to whatever they are eating. I personally have never met the owner, Zak Yanceybut here is his story.   Neo Burrito Hours: 7:00am-9:00pm Locations: 1341 Parkwood Rd.
