Asheville has a plethora of delicious food trucks but did you know that it also has a fashion truck? Introducing Hazel Twenty, a mobile boutique! It is fabulous female fashion on wheels and you must check it out!  Food and fashion are two of my most favorite things in life. Give me an episode of Project Runway and half a dozen cupcakes and I’m in heaven. I caught a glimpse of a this bright mint green truck on Brevard road one day and immediately needed to know more. The truck read “Hazel Twenty” in a trendy font and I quickly googled it and found that a very clever lady named Lexi DiYeso had blown my mind with her mobile boutique. I went to visit Lexi and her fashion truck at an event last week at the Asheville Racquet Club. I got chance to peruse the racks, ask her some questions and of course, purchase a sweet tank top that I quickly fell in love with after her lovely assistant tried it on causing me to immediately become convinced that I needed it asap. I asked Lexi what made her take the leap into creating a mobile women’s boutique? She explained that after owning and operating an ebay clothing business she had a friend mention that she had seen a mobile fashion truck on a recent visit to Texas. Lexi said she was immediately sold on the idea and put her dream into action. After lots of hard work she has her truck and let me tell you - she is an old pro at this point. And what about that name Hazel Twenty? Where did that come from? Lexi explains that Hazel was the name of her Great Dane and Twenty was her number from her soccer playing days. Why is the Hazel Twenty truck so freaking awesome?. At full capacity it can fit about 10 shoppers. I was in there with about 5 other people and I was very comfortable. It has a fully functional changing room with two full length mirrors and dreamy privacy curtains. The clothing is well priced and good quality. Some of the name brands that she carries are 7 for All Mankind, Fresh Laundry and Blu Pepper. Prices start around $35 and go from there. She was running a great sale when I was on board so that’s why you need to stop by each chance you get. You could’ve went home with a beautiful vegan leather jacket like this for under $100! The color palette is beautiful neutrals with exciting pops of understated hues in coral, blue and green. I can definitely say this: I wanted to go home with everything. All of her pieces are on trend and chic. Lexi has a great assortment of jewelry, scarves, hats and bags as well. Where can we find this awesome truck and get our shop on? You’re in luck! It just so happens Hazel Twenty has a Valentine’s Day Event coming up right around the corner! On Saturday, February 14th the truck will be at Divine Wine & Beer on Tunnel Road from 1:00pm -3:00pm. There will be a fashion show, chocolate, wine and did I say...fashion show? You can follow Hazel Twenty on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates and announcements on other upcoming events. Hazel Twenty is also available for private parties! Simply visit the website and contact Lexi for more details. I’m so glad I got the chance to meet an awesome local entrepreneur, shop the Hazel Twenty truck, and go home with an awesome top that I am in love with!
