Just because it was a Wednesday night doesn’t mean The Quiet Life took it easy. The Portland, Oregon based beard rockers played an energetic set to a small, but devoted crowd at The Mothlight in West Asheville. The band even backed opener Michael Nau (of the equally excellent Cotton Jones) on a number of songs. This isn’t the first stop in Asheville for The Quiet Life. They’ve hit The Orange Peel twice in the past year opening for The Head and the Heart and more recently Portugal. The Man. Frontman Sean Spellman has been spending more time in our fair city likening it to an East Coast version of Portland referencing our supportive arts community. The band even got their grease van upgraded at Dr. Dave’s.
