This week marks two years since Jettie Rae’s Oyster House first opened its doors. Launching a coastal-inspired seafood restaurant in the mountains (in the middle of a pandemic, no less) was an idea just crazy enough to work, as evidenced by Jettie Rae’s many loyal customers and glowing reviews.
The timing of the anniversary coincides with the launch of Jettie Rae’s new summer dishes, showcasing the freshest produce of the season with dishes like the Lowcountry Shrimp Salad, a refreshing combination of pickled shrimp, butter beans and sunflower seeds on a bed of arugula. The Steak and Salad features hanger steak cooked to perfection, topped with tangy salsa verde alongside bibb lettuce with green goddess dressing. Also not to be missed are the Crab Ricotta Tomato Toast with jumbo lump crab, housemade ricotta and ciabatta, and the Nantucket Scallops served with a pecan-tomato sauce and zucchini ribbons.
