Indie rock fans might be familiar with Grouplove's hit single "Tongue Tied" from the cleverly titled debut album Never Trust a Happy Song.  That's the only song I knew, until I stumbled across the group at the Big Guava Festival in Tampa, FL.  I was lured in simply by how attractive the group is. Collectively, the band looked as if they walked off a magazine page, onto the stage. Vocalist Hannah Hooper's peacock body suit and perfectly styled blonde locks left her audience unconditionally in love. Christian Zucconi (vocals, guitar) was sporting lavender blue hair, torn denim, and a brilliant, floral, over-sized tank.  The only accessory bassist Andrew Wessen will ever need is his sweet sly perfect smile. Sean Gadd (bass, vocals), and Ryan Rabin (drums) were equally as striking.  Grouplove's punk-rock, part techno-pop sound make fans feel incredibly young. I've certainly been dancing around my house to their beats.    Photos by Laila Alamiri, all rights reserved.
