If you've been in Asheville for a hot minute, you probably know about our obsession with pop-up shopping. For a few days scattered throughout the year, the upper floors, back rooms, cozy nooks, and hideaways of our beloved city are taken over by fantastic people who come from near and far bearing wonders. From the handmade to the vintage, the quirky to the charming, pop-up shopping has it all, and its ephemerality makes it even more exciting. Pop-up shopping, dear ones, is the unicorn of the retail kingdom.  This holiday season, there are an abundance of pop-up shopping experiences for you to explore. This weekend alone, there are multiple pop-up and short-term shops taking over the city. Our plan is to let you know about all of them! The season opens with the East West Holiday Pop Up Shop. This is one that's been on our radar ever since we saw the lovely flyer. The Shop will be open every day from this Thursday, 12/10, until Sunday, 12/13. Starting at 3 pm tomorrow, you'll be able to get your hands on exclusive finds from local artisans, vintage items, and other delights. Lest you think you'll only be shopping, there are also events planned. Tomorrow, for example, is a Meet and Greet Craft Night featuring a scarf-making workshop. Friday is the (very) grand opening party (free drinks and a food truck!) from 5-9 pm. And that master of jollies, Santa himself, will be visiting the establishment from 11:30 - 1:30 on Sunday.  Oh yeah, and don't forget the vendors who are making all of this merriment possible. The list is large, but here's a sampling: there's original art from Hannah Dansie, clothing and wintry trinkets from Holdfast Outfitters, handmade leather products from in blue handmade, jewelry from Siren's Holler, and baked goods from Ruth & Ranshaw (I'll have one of everything, please). Massive Booth will be there to help you make all of your photo booth dreams come true. And that's not even half of the lineup. The Low-Down: The East West Holiday Pop Up Shop is open from 3-9 pm Thursday (12/10), 11-9 pm Friday (12/11), 11-9 pm Saturday (12/12), and 11-6 pm Sunday. Find it at 278 Haywood Rd.
