This Saturday, basshead family favorite
Brightside returns to Asheville with Nashville’s weird bass maestro
Ives for ZØDIAC in The Ridge at New Mountain AVL. Joining them on stage are Atlanta’s
Digital D and Asheville’s own
Tenorless.
Queens native
Brightside, aka Eric Tully, says “it's not just about the music, it's about the movement.” His vision is to produce auditory art that brings people together and creates a sense of community.
Brightside has a predominantly mid-tempo sound, drawing inspiration from all ends of the spectrum, sampling a widely eclectic library of music from all around the world, creating psychedelic sounds with Middle Eastern, Asian, Classic Rock, Hip-Hop and even Reggae flare.
Tune into his latest release,
Mouthbreathers, out now on
Abstract Future.
Ives is the musical endeavor of Nashville’s
Chris Tyler, who’s been making waves in the underground music scene, dropping releases on MalLabel Music, Shadowtrix and more. Check out his collab with bass monster and label-mate
Luzcid.
ZØDIAC is a monthly event in New Mountain AVL’s 99-cap room, The Ridge, celebrating the moon’s voyage through the Zodiac, delving into the mystique of each sign, synthesizing bass vibrations with the moon’s cosmic location to create a transformational night of dance music.
Jacob Burke of The UNDRGRND will supply mind-bending visuals all night long!
Saturday’s event celebrates the new moon in Pisces, leading up to a solar eclipse on Feb. 26. This is an incredible time for us, as we enter a new emotional cycle and ultimately, awaken to a new truth. This awakening is a call-to-action, prompting the individual to “be the change.”
Tickets for this celestial event are on sale now. Limited $5 Early Bird tickets remain. Once those are gone, prices are $7 in advance and $10 at the door.
Buy them HERE or in person at The Summit at New Mountain AVL (open daily, 5pm-Late).
