"Convergence" - a show featuring the collaborative efforts of Asheville artists Philip DeAngelo, Tanya Franklin and Ray Charnell. To celebrate 2nd Saturday in the River Arts District and in recognition of national "Stamp out Hunger Day", three Asheville artists come together in support of Manna Food Bank. The event will be held at Philip DeAngelo Studio on May 12 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Fiftenn percent of all sales on May 12th will donated by the artists to Manna Food Bank which is a private, not-for-profit service organization, that links the food industry with over 200 partner agencies in 16 counties of WNC. Con-ver-gence: 1: the act of converging and especially moving toward union or uniformity. 2: the merging of distinct art forms, technologies, industries, or devices into a unified whole. Come see how these artists combine their individual painting, stained glass and metalwork talents into unique artwork.
