With December rolling up, Asheville is riling up for the holiday season. To welcome in everyone’s favorite time of year, we are highlighting five holidays events to stir locals and visitors alike into seasonal cheer.

5th Annual Ugly Sweater Crawl

Nothing embraces the messy fun of the holiday season than a tacky sweater and a nice old beverage. This delightfully festive event for adults features a tour of several local Asheville breweries, a Christmas movie live stream, an afterparty to wrap it all up, and of course, guests are encouraged to wear their most fabulously bad Christmas sweaters.

The crawl will take place December 18 from 2:00pm-10:00pm beginning at 161 Biltmore Ave  Asheville, NC 28801. You can find more information at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/5th-annual-ugly-sweater-crawl-asheville-tickets-124590358115

Winter Wonderland Market

Tis the season for holiday shopping, so why not grab some gifts from North Carolina small businesses?  Winter Wonderland Market brings creative locals together with a variety of unique gifts plus food served on site. There’s no better place to add more fun to holiday shopping.

The market will take place December 11 from 9:00am-3:00pm at Smokey Mountain Event Center at 758 Crabtree Rd, Waynesville, NC. Learn more at https://allevents.in/waynesville/winter-wonderland-market/200021738664242?ref=footer-up-ep-upcoming

A Family Christmas with You

The holidays are all about time with family and friends, and the Ridgecrest Conference Center is offering the perfect holiday event for family members of all ages. Featuring music from the LeFevre Quartet & Wilburn & Wilburn, cookies and crafts, and plenty of gift-buying opportunities, nothing brings Asheville families together quite like this.

The event will take place on December 4 starting at 1:00 pm at Ridgecrest Conference Center at 1 Ridgecrest Dr, Black Mountain, NC. You can learn more at https://ridgecrestconferencecenter.com/events/christmas/

2021 Hanukkah 8k

Get on your feet and celebrate the Festival of Lights with fellow runners of all ages. As part of the season of giving, a portion of the race’s proceeds will be donated to Eblen Charities to help provide emergency assistance to those in the community needing help with their winter fuel costs. The race is a chance to give back to your body, community, and the world this holiday season.

The race will take place on December 12 starting at 12:00pm at 236 Charlotte St, Asheville, NC. Learn more at https://raceroster.com/events/2021/48709/hanukkah-8k
