The camping festival just got elevated. Wildwood Revival, now in its third year, just announced its partial lineup along with a list of the vendors and experiences that will be offered. Over one weekend from August 26-28, headliners Gillian Welch, the Lone Bellow, and Houndmouth lead a roster of impressive musicians that you can listen to while you get a speakeasy haircut, nosh on local food and beer, do live band karaoke, get a tintype portrait, and dance the night away under the stars. It's a 3-day festival that, according to the press release, "combines the soul of a juke joint, the wild spirit of a honky tonk, and the camaraderie of a supper club on an idyllic 30-acre farm just outside of Athens, GA." Tickets are on sale now, and options range from a general admission pass (around $75 without camping fees) to a full-on VIP pass, which includes food and drink. It looks like it's going to be a gorgeous weekend of music, community, and natural beauty. Full details below: Wildwood Revival Wildwood Revival is proud to announce the 2016 lineup for its third annual arts and music festival happening Friday August 26 - Sunday, August 28. Headliners Gillian Welch, The Lone Bellow and Houndmouth will be joined by Hackensaw Boys, Legendary Shack Shakers, Lost Bayou Ramblers, J.P. Harris, Athens Cowboy Choir and many more. The three-day event combines the soul of a juke joint, the wild spirit of a honky tonk, and the camaraderie of a supper club on an idyllic 30-acre farm just outside of Athens, GA. Nights are filled with dance parties and sing-a-longs under the stars. Mornings feature yoga classes, wiffle ball games and farm-to-table brunches. With its open-air barn stage, artisan market, and craft beer served in mason jars, Wildwood Revival is more than a music festival — it’s a cultural revival.   “One of our goals with Wildwood Revival is to ‘revive community’ as well as support the style of music and makers who are bringing back the sounds and craftsmanship of older times,” says Festival co-founder Libby Rose.” We wanted to take the feeling you get from visiting places like small town juke joints, honky tonks, farmers markets, swap meets, front porch parties and supper clubs and bring those elements to the farm in the form of a festival.” To that end, the festival not only features top-tier musical acts spanning genres but also highlights artisans including printmakers, wood workers, 1800’s-era tintype photographers, vintage clothing and antique purveyors and more. In keeping with the spirit of preservation, the Wildwood Revival is proud to be plastic free.   A limited number of advance price three-day passes are currently on sale now. Advance tickets are $78 for General Admission and $249 for VIP. VIP ticket packages include access to the VIP area, an 8,000 square foot antebellum mansion featuring a full bar, gourmet catered meals, private restrooms and more. Food and alcohol is included with the VIP ticket.
