The Theater of Pleasures. The name conjures to mind all things sensuous and creative, beautiful and beguiling. And that's exactly what the evening will be like at
the Orange Peel this coming Sunday, when
Teatro del Gusto takes the stage.
Teatro del Gusto is a series created by the Orange Peel and
ABSfest (the Americana Burlesque and Sideshow Festival) that's been in existence since 2014. The evening's scheduled is filled with
delightful goings-on, including comedy routines, juggling from NOLA's Chatty the Mime, burlesque, acrobatics (from Atlanta's "fireball aerealist" Sadie Hawkins + others), bellydance, and more. The "femcee" will be the beloved Carmel Clavin.
Make it an evening out on the town -- your ticket to the show also gives you 15% off at Storm Rhum Bar, Bhramari, or Zambra. Sounds like the perfect combination for a
steamy night in the city.
The show is 18+ (because pasties and g-strings) and is fully seated. Tickets are $20 in advance and $23 on the day of the show. Doors at 7, show starts at 8. Asheville Grit is also giving away
a pair of tickets--to enter for your chance to win, just leave a comment below!
We'll pick a winner on Friday night at 5 pm.
