Simrit brought her Songs of Resilience tour to downtown Asheville last Saturday, March 18th. The Asheville Masonic Temple provided the perfect setting for an evening of transcendent music from Simrit and her band (Salif Bamakora on kora; Shannon Hayden on cello, electronics, and guitar; Tripp Dudley on percussion; and Jared May on bass guitar).
