With the best rooftop venue in town, Aloft Asheville Downtown is pleased to announce its 2018 Sundays Live@Aloft concert series, which kicks off with a live performance by The Rock Academy on May 27th from 5 until 8pm. The Rock Academy is an Asheville music school that teaches kids how to rock and perform on stage. The event is open to the public, and a suggested $5 donation will help pay for music lessons and instruments for children who could not afford them otherwise. The 2018 Sundays Live@Aloft series will continue through October with each event featuring a local band and benefitting an area non-profit organization. Additional events include: * June 24th – Special Affair benefitting the Asheville Humane Society (pets are invited, too!) * July 29th – DJ Abu Disarray performance and fashion show benefitting Hope Chest * August 26th – Jordan Okrend Trio benefitting the A-B Tech Scholarship Foundation * September 30th – Jesse Barry and the Jam benefitting Blue Ridge Public Radio * October 28th – Eleanor Underhill and Friends benefitting Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue “We are excited to host this talented lineup for 2018 Sundays Live@Aloft and look forward to bringing a fun event series to hotel guests and Asheville locals,” said Aloft Asheville Downtown’s General Manager David McCartney. “The series also gives us a reason to come together as a community and give back to six non-profits that are doing wonderful things Asheville.” Held on the hotel’s rooftop Air Level, all Sundays Live@Aloft events offer spectacular mountain views surrounding downtown Asheville.
