It's a bold move for a band to line the front of the stage with four guitarists, but what do you expect from a band named Diarrhea Planet? These six guys from Nashville rocked The Mothlight last night with numerous shredding guitars none of which felt excessive surprisingly. This is their 2nd stop in Asheville in the past 6 months and I hope they come back despite having to see their name on posters around town. The surprise of the evening was the seemingly diminutive State Champion from Louisville. Made up of a sole guitarist, long-haired bassist, barefoot violinist, and drummer, they made a big impression and were the highlight of the night.
