Last year, Blake Butler and Jill Lieberman of Adapt PR  joined together with seven downtown businesses to create a program called 12 Days of Giving. The program was designed to contribute directly to three nonprofits that help feed, clothe, and shelter the homeless: Haywood Street Congregation, Western Carolina Rescue Ministries, and the Asheville Buncombe Community Christian  Ministry, or ABCCM.  The founding businesses - Cúrate,  Bouchon, Wicked Weed5 WalnutScully's, and Izzy's Coffee Den - selected one menu option as their "12 Days" item. Every time the s pecial item was purchased between December 18 and December 31, 10% of the proceeds was donated to the three organizations listed above. That's how Asheville's 12 Days of Giving was born.    There are still 2 days to visit some of your favorite downtown businesses and order that special item and know that well-needed funds are going towards taking care of people who could use some support in our community, especially at this time of year. This year, there are 33 buisinesses who so graciously participated in this goriwng campaign, so check out alll that they are offering and bop about town for anytthing form hot chcolate at the French Broad Chocolate Lounge, Bussels sprouts from Seven Sows (pictured above), to a Moogfest t-shirt.  Here's the complete listsing of participants and the great stuff they're offering up for this lovely cause.    Jill Lieberman and Blake Butler of Adapt PR, and founders of Asheville's 12 Days of Giving
