Photos by Cory Thompson Tuesday night can be slow for downtown Asheville, even at the Orange Peel. But this week, 450 audience members and 100 performers were heating things up at the venue during the Winter Dance Spectacular, a dance showcase from Studio Zahiya that benefited LEAF Community Arts. This world dance showcase featured bhangra, hip hop, ballet, belly dance, Irish dance, and more, with Studio Zahiya's instructors and students performing.  "Dance does something special for the human soul. I am so proud of all of our dancers who have had the courage to step out and learn something new and want to share what they've discovered," said Zahiya in a press release.
