Kayah Gaydish
On Friday, February 5th, at 7 p.m., Black Dome will host a silent auction and slideshow in memory of Kayah Gaydish, the Asheville climber who died tragically in a climbing accident just before the holidays. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit Gaydish's children, Caleb and River.  Kayah was a renowned climber, a beloved mother, and an integral part of the community. She was the Secretary of the board of the Carolina Climbers Coalition and Carolina Conservation Coordinator for Wild South. In 2015, she was the recipient of a "Live Your Dream" grant from the American Alpine Club. All are welcome at this event, which will be a heartfelt and stirring memorial to this remarkable woman, and which will help her children achieve their own dreams. You can also contribute to the YouCaring site set up for Caleb and River.
