The Reasonably Priced Babies Comedy Troupe Get Their Christmas Sweater On
Twas the week before Christmas…and everyone was busy, stressed, behind on shopping, tired of work, in need of more sleep and oh so confused by this weather. But alas, the weekend is here, and in good cheer we’ve rounded up just a few of our favorite picks. The Reasonably Priced Babies Black Mountain Arts Center December 18 & 19 | 7:30 p.m. | $15 Self-described “attention deficit entertainment” comedy group brings non-stop laughs for two nights only. This fast-paced musical show is PG-13, so get a babysitter for the kids. Asheville Vaudeville Toy Boat Community Arts Space December 19 | 7:30 p.m. | $12- $15 The largest, wackiest, and most wonderful vaudeville show in WNC hosts its final event of the year this Saturday. The show will be performed twice, at 7:30 and 10:30 pm, and you're going to want to be there. It promises to be a night of eclectic, experimental performances, and if you miss it, you'll basically ruin Christmas. Democratic Debate Watching Party New Mountain AVL December 19 | 7:30 p.m. | Free We’re not telling you who to vote for, but we always encourage learning more about the Presidential candidates and their platforms. So grab some friends and a beer and head on down to New Mountain for a night of Democratic banter. A Path Untold/Aligning Minds Recordings Launch Party The Orange Peel December 19 | Doors at 8 p.m. | Show at 9 p.m. | $7 presale, $10 at the door Enjoy a night of truly one of a kind electronic music and local talent as A Path Untold and Aligning Minds join forces to launch a new album and provide one hell of a show in the process.   Lauryn Higgins does our Grit Weekend Picks. A lover of good beer, good friends and good hiking trails, she’s found Asheville is the perfect fit for her.
