UNCA’s Drama Department presents DW Gregory’s
Radium Girls, a riveting adaptation of a real life court case. In 1926, Grace Fryer battles her employer after she and several other women working at a radium plant are exposed to the toxic substance, and the deadly illnesses that plague them. The hour-long performance is a powerful tale of a group of brave women and the consequences of putting profit over people.
The show will take place November 11-12 at 7:00pm, November 13 at 2:00pm and 7:00pm, and November 14 at 2:00pm at UNC Asheville's Carol Belk Theatre.
