The
Picnic at the Summit will take place September 11th from 11 am until 3 pm at Mars Hill University in the field located behind the University Chapel. The goal is to raise awareness amongst students and the community about what Human Trafficking is and how it affects everyone, even in the Asheville/Mars Hill area.
It is a free, family-friendly event with vendors from a variety of non-profit agencies. It also features free self-defense classes for children and three guest speakers that specialize in different areas of Human Trafficking. The community is invited to bring blankets for an afternoon of food trucks, games, face painting, inflatables, and more.
