Blue Dragons
If you're looking to jam out this weekend, Grey Eagle is the place to be. This Friday at 8 pm, the venue hosts headliners Blue Dragons, the legendary groove/jam band that has been letting the good vibes flow freely for a heck of a long time. They're joined by Fritz Beer & the Crooked Beat and DJ Molly Parti in an evening that will benefit LEAF Community Arts. LEAF Community Arts is the branch of the wildly popular festival that supports arts education in Asheville and on an international scale. It supplies arts education, hands-on workshops, and resources for creative expression to over 5,000 students around the world. There's never been a better reason to dance, and with three top-notch acts, there's no way you won't. Between the twangy, acoustic vibe of Fritz Beer & the Crooked Beat, the jazz- and rock-infused groove of Blue Dragons, and the hot beats of DJ Molly Parti, there's sure to be something for everyone. As an added bonus, it's Blue Dragon's bassist James "Fish" Fisher's 50th birthday, so the celebration is sure to be kicked up a few notches.  The night is $7 in advance, $10 at the door. Kids 15 and under are free. Tickets here.
