We've rounded up just a few of the best events in town for you to check out. So get out and have some fun.  Soumu: African Celebration to Benefit Dembele Family New Mountain Asheville  March 20 | 5:30 – 11 p.m. | $15 Support a great cause and enjoy some incredible live music in this 3rd annual Soumu, presented by Lush Life Productions and Zansa. Soumu, a West African term for an all encompassing party featuring music, dance, food, and art will serve as a fundraiser to benefit the Adama's family in Abobo, Ivory Coast, whose home and music center was just destroyed by the Ivory Coast government.     Blackberg Creative Studios Grand Opening Party Blackberg Creative Studios March 20 | 5-8 p.m. Step out a little early Friday night and check out the grand opening of the newest addition to the South Slope, Blackberg Creative Studios. There will be bites, drinks, giveaways and a several crafts to put your artistic abilities to the test.    Odeya Nini + Archie Carrey + æsc CPI Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center March 21 | 8 p.m. | $12 Los Angeles based experimental vocalist and contemporary composer, Odeya Nini will bring her eclectic style to transform an ordinary Saturday night into a live spectacle. Her friends and collegaues Archie Carrey and æsc CPI will be opening for her.     EQUINOX: LIVE ANIMALS Boiler Room March 21 | Doors at 8:30 p.m. | Show at 9 p.m. | $3 Grab a drink and shake off the week at this all electronic and hip hop dance party. Illanthropy will start off the night with his signaure heavy bass music and LIVE ANIMALS will shut the place down with his West-coast hip hop and modern bass music. And for $3, you know you want to go. Get in Gear Fest RiverLink Performance Plaza March 21 | noon – 4 p.m. | Free Get in gear and head down to this inaugural festival presented by The Outdoor Great Builders of Western North Carolina. This family-friendly event will feature product demos, gear clinics and special offers from local gear suppliers.  It is Asheville, so beer and food trucks will be there. And be sure to stick around for races and an ultimate game of tug-a-war.
