GritVegas Weekend Update August 11-14
It's time for the weekend update, y'all! Have the rain and heat been keeping you indoors? Seriously, Asheville, is it ever going to stop raining? Lucky for us, that means the river will be high this weekend for all the floating folks, and we also have plenty of indoor (read: dry) activities for you to enjoy when you're not in the water by choice. Read on and find out what's in store for your weekend. As always, let us know what we missed in the comments!   Also, we are still accepting entries for Underground Sound: The Path to Music Video Asheville! Calling all musicians! This is your chance at $2500 to make a professional music video. All you have to do is upload a non-professional video of yourself playing a song you'd like to make a proper video of. Full rules here. This is a seriously sweet prize, and the winner is also automatically entered into Music Video Asheville!     Thursday  CCCD 20th Anniversary Celebration and Benefit  7-10 pm    The Center for Craft, Creativity, and Design hosts their 20th anniversary (!) celebration and benefit on Thursday night.
