Now in its seventh year, the Asheville BookFest brings together authors and readers to celebrate the literary arts in Western North Carolina. Happening this Saturday, December 12, at the Haywood Park Hotel Atrium from 10 am - 4 pm, it's free, family friendly, and open to the public.  The day's schedule includes readings, signings, panels, and discussions. Offerings range from spotlights on area publishing houses Grateful Steps, YAV Productions, and Pisgah Press to panels on self-publishing and creating illustrated books. Local authors, including Randi Janelle, Thomas Rain Crowe, and Bahia Abrams, will also be featured.  Celebrating our rich and diverse literary scene here in Ashevile is a great way to spend the weekend.
